Karawo Festival

The Karawo Festival is a festival that aims to popularize Karawo which is held every year in Gorontalo City. Karawo or kerawang is a traditional cloth typical of Gorontalo which is made by hand.

The Karawo Festival is an annual event as an effort to encourage tourism and the creative economy. As well as to promote tourism and creative economy products to local, regional, national and international levels.

The Karawo Festival is usually enlivened with karawo craft exhibitions, parades and karawo fashion shows which are attended by the government, banking and business actors. This festival also involves hundreds to thousands of people from students, local government and the general public.
