Geopark is an area that functions as a means of education, as a protected area, as a place for geo-tourism development, as a means of effective and efficient cooperation with local communities and as a place for the implementation of various sciences and technologies.

Geopark sites are excellent laboratories and learning places to teach a variety of skills, increase understanding of nature, and other topics. Geo-education at Geopark Gorontalo continues to be improved to provide education for children and adults.
