Lake Limboto Festival

The implementation of the Lake Limboto Festival began with concerns about the condition of Lake Limboto. The Lake Limboto Festival is one way for the government and the people of Gorontalo Regency to deal with damage and preserve Lake Limboto, which is the pride of the people of Gorontalo Province.

At the Lake Limboto Festival, there was a clean action for Lake Limboto and also a children's conference for the lake. It is hoped that from an early age, children will gain knowledge about the importance of environmental conservation, including Limboto Lake.

The Lake Limboto Festival event features a variety of attractions and competitions, including cultural parades, traditional alanggaya (kites) competitions, traditional boat races, chirping birds festival, the selection of Nou and Uti, Gorontalo Regency and the culinary festival of fish caught in Limboto lake. Visitors can also watch migratory birds at Lake Limboto.

At the Lake Limboto Festival, intangible heritage will be displayed such as Paiya Lo Hungolopoli, Tujai, Wonungo, Tidi Lo Polopalo, and Palebohu. The goal is for Gorontalo culture to be sustainable.
