Dimito red limestone is compared to the Tinombo (Teot) Formation which is Eocene to Oligocene in age. Dimito red limestone belongs to period 1 (deep sea/ocean floor sedimentary rock) of Gorontalo.

To the south of Dimito's red limestone hill is Lahumbo red limestone. Dimito red limestone and Lahumbo red limestone are members of the Tinombo (Teot) Formation which belongs to period 1 (deep sea/oceanic floor sedimentary rock) in Gorontalo.
