The Olele geosite is located in the mountainous geological complex south of Gorontalo. This geosite is characterized by the appearance of lithological contacts between volcanic breccias and limestones.
This lithological contact is interpreted as a fault contact or as a result of tectonic control which is indicated by the presence of slickenside on the limestone surface and fragments of volcanic breccia. The Olele limestone geosite is located in the north of the Olele waters and the Olele coastal plain.
